Hi, I'm Sachin Benny. I am a writer and technologist based in Austin. My current writing can be found at the Summer Lightning newsletter.

Since 2025, I've been a lead researcher at The Protocol Institute, where I steward the Protocol Fiction group. Currently, we publish science fiction centered around strange rules and protocols at Protocolized, and a collaborative fiction universe called Jamverse.

In 2025, I published a book called Thinking About Leaving.

I'm an active member of Yak Collective, a community built around study groups and tinkering projects. I participate in the governance and distributed systems study groups.
